Whole School Long-term Plans
In our Lower School, learners access a full range of National Curriculum subjects. These are delivered by a class teacher using a primary school model to offer the highest level of consistency. These are delivered as discreet subjects and through a topic that changes each half-term. This helps learners to access more meaningful learning experiences in which they are able to make links between their learning in different subject areas helping them to contextualise and consolidate learning. Learners in the Lower School also benefit from some of their lessons being taught by experienced specialist staff.
The range of subjects delivered in Lower School are: Literacy, Maths, Science, Humanities (World Studies), Computing, Food Technology, Physical Education, Adventure, Community and Enterprise Education (ACE), Music, PSHE and Personalised Learning.
